These terms apply to EV Journeys, operated by Mutant Soup Software (“we,” “us”). By using this website or the trip analyzer, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. The short version: we do not want your trip uploads, and we do not sell your driving history.
What we provide
EV Journeys offers:
- Articles and guides about electric vehicles
- Free calculators (such as the charging calculator)
- Optional trip analyzer for owners who export logs from supported cars
- Product recommendations that may include outbound links to retailers
Everything is offered for general information. We are not your mechanic, electrician, financial advisor, insurer, or travel planner.
Not professional advice
Charging times, range estimates, cost figures, and similar outputs are approximations. Real-world results depend on your car, weather, driving style, wiring, electricity rates, and charger equipment.
- Electrical work — hire a qualified electrician for outlet or panel upgrades. Do not rely on our site alone to decide what is safe in your home.
- Road trips — plan with current charger apps and your car’s navigation. Our calculator is for learning, not live trip routing.
- Purchasing decisions — verify specs with the manufacturer and dealer.
Trip analyzer
The trip analyzer lets you import files you export from your vehicle. You are responsible for obtaining those exports and for keeping backups if you care about the data. We provide the tool “as is”; we do not guarantee that every export format or firmware version will import perfectly.
Because data stays on your device, you are also responsible for who has access to your phone or computer.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site to break the law or others’ rights
- Try to break, overload, or scrape the site in ways that harm other users
- Reverse-engineer or republish large portions of the site as if they were your own product
Outbound links
We link to third-party sites (manufacturers, retailers, map providers, and others). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mutant Soup Software is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the site.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
